IPL 2016: Quinton de Kock credits Rahul Dravid for Delhi Daredevils’ revival

Not many gave Delhi Daredevils a chance before the start of the 9th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2016), but under the inspiration leadership of Zaheer Khan and motivational mentoring of Rahul Dravid, Delhi Daredevils have surprised one and all with their performance in IPL 2016.

Delhi Daredevils opener Quinton de Kock has heaped praise on his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise mentor Rahul Dravid, saying that the confidence and advice given by the former India batting legend has helped the side’s youngsters go out and express themselves on the cricket pitch.

“It has been nice to have Rahul around in the team, especially with a young team here. He has guided us a lot and helped us along the way. It is so nice to have a mentor like that. It gives us the confidence to go out and play freely,” de Kock said.

“He (Dravid) hasn’t given me tips, as he knows that I play enough cricket on my own too, how to deal with bat and the like. So he hasn’t given me much, but I am sure he has given the other youngsters some sort of support and guided them, I don’t know how but yes he has I think,” he added.
