IPL 2017: KL Rahul will miss the tenth edition with shoulder injury

IPL 2017: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s KL Rahul has been ruled out of India Premier League 2017 (IPL 2017P) due to shoulder injury. This is a second big blow for RCB after their captain Virat Kohli was declared unfit for the first few matches.

Bangalore’s local boy KL Rahul will miss the tenth edition of the tournament with the shoulder injury he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

KL Rahul spoke about his injured shoulder after the fourth Test and said that it gets quite sore which makes things difficult for him in the middle.

“(My shoulder) It gets quite sore. I can’t quite dive on the field. There are a few shots that I will have to restrict. I will play within myself. Even I do, it’s not that I can’t score, I have all the shots in the book. That is what I spoke to the management and the captain. I will have to focus more with the problem in my shoulder. I am still enjoying batting with that problem,” KL Rahul said.

According to media reports, Rahul go to London to undergo surgery before the all important ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Rahul has been in good form, scoring six fifties in seven innings during the series against Australia and his absence will surely lead change of plans for RCB.

In IPL 2016, KL Rahul impressed one and all with his aggressive batting and he was the third highest scorer of the season for RCB.
