IPL 2017: Mitchell Starc choses Test cricket over IPL

Australia’s ace fast bowler Mitchell Starc has pulled out of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2017) season , deciding that resting his body for Test cricket is more important than a seven-figure pay cheque at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

This came as a big news for RCB fans just one day before the auction. Starc missed the ninth edition of the IPL in 2016 due to injury and RCB fans were hoping that they would get see the speedster swinging the stumps out of the ground in the tenth edition. But, much to their disappointment, Starc has decided to rest his body and go all out in Test cricket.

This news was shared by IPL on their Twitter account:

Now, it will be interesting to see how RCB’s this-tank cope up with this last minute shocker and work out their combination in the auction on 20th February.
