Delhi Daredevils are struggling to get going in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This year, Gautam Gambhir, the local boy of Delhi, made a decision to leave Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after leading them successfully for so many years, and decided to play for his home team and in front of his home crowd.

So far, in IPL 2018, Gautam Gambhir has not looked in the best of form with the bat and his team has also struggled to put the opposition teams under pressure. There have been a few good individual performances but the way other top teams are performing, Delhi Daredevils will have to lift their game and play together as a unit.
After being on the road for the first few matches, Delhi Daredevils will finally host Kings XI Punjab at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Monday i.e. 23rd April 2018. In this post, The Cricket Lounge’s team has listed the best possible XI for Delhi Daredevils, after considering the performances and combinations in their matches so far in IPL 2018.

IPL 2018: This Is The Best Playing For Delhi Daredevils
Jason Roy is one of the most explosive T20 batsmen in the world and he has already showed what he can do on his day in T20 cricket. His match-winning knock against Mumbai at the Wankhede stadium is one of the best T20 knocks of the season so far. Delhi must stick to the left-right pair of Gambhir and Roy.
Middle-order: Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell, Gurkeerat Mann

Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell should bat at number 3,4 and 5 respectively.  All three of them are capable of upping the anti and changing the momentum of the game in Delhi’s favour, in no time. Gurkeerat Mann is an experience domestic player and he can provide the stability which is lacking in Delhi’s lower middle-order.
All-rounders: Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia
Chris Morris had impressed one and all in the last season for Delhi Daredevils, with his bat and ball both. However, he hasn’t fired so far in IPL 2018, but he is a quality cricketers and Delhi fans have huge hopes from him.
Bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Trent Boult, Amit Mishra
