3 Teams Which Will Probably End Up In The Play-Offs of IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings had made it to the finals of IPL 2019 which was hardly a surprise for anyone. While Mumbai had probably the strongest squad in the tournament, CSK had a lot of experience with plenty of proven T20 match winners being a part of their set-up.

However, IPL 2019 is history now and everyone is interested in the next edition of the tournament. The compositions of the squads have changed with the franchises releasing many players and creating a budget for themselves to buy new players in the auction. However, there are some franchises who have kept their core intact and they are the most likely to make it to the finals of IPL 2020.

Here are the 3 teams who can make it to the finals of IPL 2020 –

#1 Mumbai Indians

The reigning champions have their starting XI figured out even before the auction and all they are going to look for in the auction is a couple of back-up players.

There are 5 or 6 players in that Mumbai squad who can turn a T20 game upside down single-handedly and it’s always a luxury to have so many match-winners at your disposal. It will be a huge surprise if Mumbai doesn’t make it to the finals of IPL 2020.

Starting XI: Quinton de Kock (WK), Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah

#2 Chennai Super Kings

CSK might not have as many impact players as Mumbai Indians, but they have got utility players who are good readers of the game and are quick to adapt to conditions on a given day.

They have actually built their team in such a way that they are well equipped for the conditions at their home ground M .A. Chidambaram Stadium. They have got quality spinners and batsmen who can play the spin bowling well.

CSK always start the season with the motive of winning most of their home games which gives them a chance of finishing in top 2 in the points table and have two opportunities in the playoffs to make it to the final.

They are also a very strong contender to qualify for the IPL 2020 finals.

Starting XI: Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (C&WK), Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir, Lungi Ngidi

#3 Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals have a great amalgamation of youth and experience and they have got the right tempo for T20 cricket. They hardly get bogged down at any stage of the innings and even with the ball, they are looking for wickets most of the time rather than being happy containing the batsman. In a nutshell, they play a very attacking brand of cricket.

Another thing about Delhi Capitals is that they have got back-up players for all positions and even if they have to deal with an injury to a key player, they have the reserve option ready which puts them in a great position to go all the way in the tournament.

Starting XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer (C), Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Keemo Paul, R Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma, Sandeep Lamichhane
