Yesterday, during the IPL 2020 auction, Digvijay Deshmukh was bought by Mumbai Indians for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. It will be a great learning experience for this young talent to share the dressing room with many talented cricketers including Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

However, there’s something special about this young talent. Digvijay Deshmukh might be a lesser-known name in the cricket world but he is a Bollywood actor already. He has appeared in the much-acclaimed 2013 flick Kai Po Che, that featured stars including Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Rajkumar Rao, Manav Kaul, and others. In the movie Kai Po Che, Digvijay Deshmukh plays the role of a child prodigy Ali Hashmi.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians also made a huge buy-in Chris Lynn, who was sold at his base price of INR 2 crores, in the IPL 2020 auction yesterday. MI also bought other big names like Saurabh Tiwary and Nathan Coulter-Nile in the auction.
