SRH’s strength has been the top order and bowling attack: Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar believes that the real strength of Sunrisers Hyderabad has been their bowling attack as well as their firing top order. The likes of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner were absolutely fantastic for them in IPL 2019. Warner in fact has the most number of runs scored in the IPL since the 2014 season. This time too both Warner and Bairstow will be the key along with Manish Pandey at No.3 for SRH.
The other strong area for SRH is its potent bowling attack. The likes of Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the main weapons of SRH while youngsters like Khaleel Ahmed and Sandeep Sharma do their job of chipping away with wickets. Shankar believes that if both the top order and the bowling attack fire according to their potential, SRH have a good chance of winning IPL 2020.
“I think it has always been the bowling department and the top order,” said Vijay Shankar when asked about the strength of SRH.
SRH will begin their IPL 2020 campaign against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 21 at Dubai.
