After being asked to bat first, Ruturaj Gaikwad walked out to open the innings for his team with Devon Conway, and both the openers took the game by storm. The duo, who failed on their first attempt as the opening partners, broke several records against SRH to register the highest partnership stand for any wicket for CSK in IPL. The duo added 182-runs for the opening stand. Overall, it was the fourth-highest partnership stand in IPL history.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was going through a rough patch in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, with only a 50-plus score ahead of this game, returned to the form at the right time. He broke several records during his magnificent knock as he also equaled the batting great Sachin Tendulkar‘s record of smashing 1000 runs in 31 IPL innings.
All thanks to Ruturaj’s stunning knock, CSK posted a mammoth target of 202/2 on the scoreboard after 20 overs. Ruturaj’s stunning knock of 99 runs off 57 balls was laced with 6 fours and as many sixes.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s comeback. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone came up with amazing reactions while hailing the brilliance of the young talent.

How tragic that Ruturaj Gaikwad should be dismissed on 99 after playing perhaps the most sensational knock as yet this season. Not just tamed but collared Hyderabad’s dreaded pace attack
