IPL 2022: Amit Mishra Took A Hilarious Dig At Shahid Afridi While Trolling CSK

Legendary Indian spinner Amit Mishra has become a sort of a sensation on Twitter with his funny memes, hilarious trolling or pointing out his own record of 3 IPL hat-tricks while praising Yuzvendra Chahal.

On Thursday, as the IPL 2022 match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians got underway, within an hour of the game, Mishra came up with another rib-tickling tweet, wherein he trolled Shahid Afridi using the MI-CSK game, that nobody saw coming.

There was plenty of action happening in the early exchanges of the match: MI lost both openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the first over to Mukesh Choudhary; in the second over, MS Dhoni missed a stumping – gasp! – of Suryakumar Yadav off the bowling of Mitchell Santner; in the same over, Ravindra Jadeja failed to hang on to a catch – shock! – of Dewald Brevis.

With two unbelievable things happening – Dhoni fumbling a stumping and Jadeja missing a catch – in the same over, Amit Mishra – and only Amit Mishra could have thought of it – trolled Shahid Afridi, saying that Dhoni and Jadeja making the mistakes they did is like the former Pakistani captain batting “sensibly” keeping his “eyes open”. Unbelievable, the leggie felt.

“Jadeja dropping a catch and MSD missing a stumping is like Shahid Afridi batting sensibly with eyes open. No one can believe it happened,” Amit Mishra tweeted.

Fans had a good laugh at this and hailed Amit Mishra for his hilarious sense of humour.

Speaking about the game, MI top order was blown away by Mukesh Choudhary who had Rohit, Kishan and Brevis with his swing bowling in the powerplay. Suryakumar Yadav ticked off runs from one end but was dismissed for 32. Debutant Hrithik Shokeen scored run-a-ball 25.

At the other end, youngster Tilak Varma continued to impress in his debut season and notched up his second half-century of the season. Camoes from Pollard and Unadkat helped MI reach 155.
