IPL 2022: Dinesh Karthik Gave A Hilarious Reply To His Fangirl

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s veteran keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik is currently in the form of his life. He has turned out to be a crucial part of the RCB’s batting line-up, especially in the absence of legends like AB de Villiers.

Karthik had a rough time in the last couple of seasons of IPL where he couldn’t get enough runs for his sides and also failed as the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. In fact, when the IPL was postponed mid-way in the previous season, Dinesh Karthik had spent the whole summer doing commentary. It was in those days when he had clearly said that he hasn’t given up on his hopes of staking his claim back on the Indian cricket team.

At that time, his statements might have raised a few eyebrows but today Karthik has made a big statement through his stunning performances. In the six matches played so far, he has scored 197 runs with the strike of over 200. He has remained unbeaten in the tournament so far, excluding one game, which was against Chennai Super Kings. He has also won two Player-of-the-Match awards to his name.

On Saturday, during the game against Delhi Capitals, Dinesh Karthik played a crucial role in his team’s victory. He played a blistering knock of 66 runs off 34 balls, which came with the help of five fours and five sixes. He was adjudged man of the match as well.

While he has been winning the hearts of his fans through his terrific performances with the bat, on the other hand, he has hogged all the limelight on social media with his reply to a fans’ placard.

Well, on Sunday, a picture of a fan from the stadium went viral, wherein she can be seen holding a placard that read: “Drove 1000 kms for you RCB!!! Ee Sala Cup Namde”

Responding to the viral image, DK came up with an epic response. He wrote: “Hope the drive was worth it”
