IPL 2022: Fans Celebrate As Hardik Pandya Starts Bowling Again

And he can BOWL! Finally, a piece of great news for the Indian fans as India’s star all-rounder and Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya resumed bowling. Hardik Pandya, who hasn’t bowled much in the last couple of years because of his back injury, finally rolled his arm in the ongoing Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants match in the IPL 2022.

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya has had his fair share of injuries over the past two years, because of which he couldn’t bowl much in the last few years. In fact, during India’s lacklustre campaign in T20 World Cup last year, Hardik managed to bowl just four overs and left his fans heartbroken. Following this, he didn’t bowl a single delivery for Mumbai Indians (MI).

As a result, he was sidelined from the Indian cricket team and was also not retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auctions. However, Gujarat Titans showed faith in him and roped him as their captain before the mega-auctions.

Ahead of the league, Hardik also passed his fitness test with flying colors at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and achieved over 17 scores on the benchmark Yo-yo test.

All eyes were on Hardik Pandya as his team walked out to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium and he finally BOWLED! Pandya started with 134kmph today and delivered one delivery at 141kmph and a few at 140kmph. So far, his bowling stats read 4-0-37-0.

Meanwhile, fans on social media went berserk after watching the star all-rounder finally roll his arm. Here, check out some of the best reactions of Twitterati to this:
