All eyes were on star player Hardik Pandya when his team Gujarat Titans locked its horns against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium. Whether Hardik would feature as an all-rounder in the game or not had become one of the biggest talking points, considering that he hadn’t bowled much in the last few years.
However, the Gujarat Titans skipper’s ‘brilliant’ all-around comeback to cricket left his fans impressed. Hardik Pandya started his captaincy stint in the IPL with a victory as his Gujarat Titans edged out KL Rahul‘s Lucknow Super Giants. Hardik played a crucial knock of 33 runs, however, it was his bowling performance that made everyone take notice.
Though Pandya had a poor outing with the ball, giving away 37 runs in 4 overs without picking up a wicket. However, the fact that Hardik bowled all the 4 overs could be a positive sight for not just Gujarat Titans but for the Indian cricket team as well. In fact, Pandya started with 134kmph last night and delivered one delivery at 141kmph and a few at 140kmph.
Meanwhile, fans on social media went berserk after watching the star all-rounder finally roll his arm. Among many, a popular Twitter user and cricket analyst, Madhav Sharma took to his Twitter and explained how Hardik’s return as an all-rounder is a great news for Indian cricket as well. He wrote:
