Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is gearing up to lead Gujarat Titans in the upcoming 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. IPL 2022 will be very different and challenging for Hardik Pandya. Firstly, it will be for the first time in his IPL career that he will not be playing for Mumbai Indianssecondly, he will not have his brother Krunal Pandya by his side.
Hardik was released by Mumbai Indians, ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auction, was roped in by Gujarat Titans for INR 15 crore, and was also given the captaincy responsibility. On the other hand, KL Rahul was roped in by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 17 crore and was named as the skipper.
Ahead of the league, he has opened up on the much-awaited clash against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). It has to be noted that Hardik’s brother Krunal Pandya and his best buddy KL Rahul will be present in LSG. Both KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya will represent Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022.
Recently, during an interview with the IPL website, Hardik Pandya talked opened up on the challenge of facing brother Krunal Pandya and best buddy KL Rahul in his first match of IPL 2022. He said that going for the toss with KL Rahul will be fun and he mentioned that his brother Krunal will definitely laugh at him during that moment. He said:
“It will be fun. The first toss will be fun because KL and myself will be going for the toss and I’m sure Krunal will be standing on the side and will be laughing at me because he has never seen me do this. It will be two boys against one, but it’s okay, I’ve got my Gujarat Titans,
He added:
“We need all the love and support possible. We will keep giving our best, entertain everyone and make Gujarat people proud,”
