IPL 2022: Hardik Pandya Wrote A Special Message For The People Of Gujarat

Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya has become one of the biggest success stories of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. This is the first time that Hardik Pandya is leading a franchise for the first time in his career.

The star all-rounder, who was at the receiving end of criticism for a long time because of his form, has not only found his form back with the bat and the ball but has also led Gujarat Titans wonderfully well.

Backed by a well-rounded backroom staff, which includes the likes of Gary Kirsten, and Ashish Nehra among others, Hardik has showcased his brilliance as a captain. Currently, Gujarat Titans are sitting at the top of the IPL 2022 points table with 16 points, having won 8 of the 9 games they have played so far.

On Saturday, when Gujarat locked its horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Hardik Pandya joined the company of players to have played 100 Indian Premier League (IPL) games. Before leading Gujarat Titans, Hardik was an integral part of Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league.

He was a part of the team as it won IPL four times between 2015-2021. However, he was released by the franchise in 2022 and was picked up by Gujarat Titans for Rs 15 crore and appointed as its captain.

In his 100 games so far, Hardik Pandya has amassed a total of 1,781 runs with seven half-centuries and the best individual score of 91. With the ball, he has picked 46 wickets at an average of 31.59 and an economy of 8.90.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya dedicated this milestone to the people of Gujarat. He took to his social media on Sunday and penned a beautiful tweet for the fans. He wrote:

β€œDedicating this win to the people of Gujarat ❀ Gujarat Divas ni Hardik Shubhechha 😊 Grateful for your wishes on reaching 100 IPL games. From a kid playing his 1st IPL match in 2015 to captaining a team in my 100th it’s a dream come true. Believe in the power of your dreams πŸ§Ώβ€β€
