Dinesh Karthik played one of the best knocks of IPL 2022, when he came out to bat against Rajasthan Royals and smashed their bowlers all around the park in his trademark way. It was batting of the highest order, as Karthik played some of the most outrageous strokes with a steady head and beautiful bat-swing.
Dinesh Karthik came in to bat when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had lost 4 wickets, including their two top batters- skipper Faf du Plessis and former skipper Virat Kohli.
Dinesh didn’t waste any time and didn’t allow Rajasthan Royals bowlers to exert any pressure, by scooping all their fast bowlers for boundaries. He picked the gaps brilliantly and timed the ball to perfection throughout his match-winning innings.
Harsha Bhogle, who is one of the most loved cricket commentators in the world, took to Twitter and praised Dinesh Karthik for his match-winning show against the Royals. Bhogle posted a tweet immediately after RCB won the match and wrote: “So so much to admire about Dinesh Karthik. This has been sensation. Never say never with DK.”
We agree with Harsha Bhogle that there is so much to admire about Karthik and there is so much to learn from him. He always stays focused on doing his job and doesn’t care about the limelight or lack of it. And the innings he played against Rajasthan Royals was absolutely sensational. He smashed the ball in the most clean way and looked in total control of his game, even while playing the most unorthodox shots.
Harsha Bhogle was absolutely spot on when he said “never say never with DK” because Dinesh Karthik never gives up. He was the skipper of KKR last season, and they decided not to retain him. But, all this doesn’t really matter to Karthik when he puts his pads on walks on to the field for his side.
