IPL 2022: Jofra Archer Shared A Hilarious Tweet About Jos Buttler’s Terrific Form

Jofra Archer Shared A Hilarious Tweet : Jos Buttler jumped with joy and punched in the air with gusto as he completed a brace off Khaleel Ahmed in the 16th over. This was because he had slammed another century – his third of the season and second in a row – of the IPL 2022. Buttler now became the first overseas batsman – and second after Virat Kohli – to hit three hundreds in a single IPL season.

Against the Delhi Capitals, only in the first over, bowled by Khaleel Ahmed, Buttler looked circumspect at the pacer got swing at the Wankhede. Buttler and Padikkal started off steadily scoring 29 runs off the first five overs, before the right-hander tonked Khaleel for two sixes then unleashed himself on the hapless DC bowlers.

The in-form Kuldeep Yadav was next in Buttler’s firing line and got taken for a six and a four before it was the turn of Shardul Thakur and Lalit Yadav who met similar treatment as Kuldeep.

In the 13th and 15th overs, Jos Buttler tore into Lalit and Kuldeep walloping the spinners for four maximums and a couple of fours combined. In the 16th over, he then completed yet another highly entertaining hundred.

However, the shot that shocked everyone came after he had reached his century. To an almost yorker-length delivery from Mustafizur, Buttler sat back, crouched a bit and used just his wrists and the powerful bottom hand to loft it over long-off. He finished with 116 runs off 65 balls, thumping 9 fours and 9 sixes.

Jos Buttler now has amassed 491 runs in 7 innings, having struck three centuries and two fifties and will surely keep the Orange Cap for a while; the second on the list if KL Rahul with 265 runs. Only one of Buttler’s 7 innings has been below the score of 30.

Buttler’s England teammate Jofra Archer came up with a hilarious tweet to reveal the secret of the opener’s thunderous form: “Jos has a cheat code for batting (laughter emoji)” Archer tweeted.

Jos has a cheat code for batting 😂

This form of Buttler has put him in the radar to breach Virat Kohli’s 973-run record which the then RCB captain registered in 2016.
