Due to mega auction, two days have been selected for IPL auction. Many players will be bidding in this auction, including the names of big players like Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, David Warner and Trent Boult. If reports are to be believed, this could be the last mega auction of the IPL, as owners of most teams want this to happen.

Giving information about the mega auction, an official of the board said, “If the situation does not worsen due to the corona pandemic, the mega auction of IPL will be held in India. The two-day auction will be held in Bengaluru on February 7 and 8. Presently the preparations are going on for it.

Let us tell you that this year 10 teams will participate in IPL 2022 mega auction instead of 8. Apart from Sanjeev Goenka’s Lucknow franchise, the Ahmedabad-based team owned by venture capital firm CVC is all set to debut in IPL cricket. Both the teams will try to include the biggest players in their squad through this auction.

It is also being reported that the BCCI will have a meeting with franchise owners to discuss the possibility of outbreak of omicron variant of COVID-19.
