Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen in his vintage style in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 opening game against Kolkata Knight Riders. MS Dhoni, who stepped down from the Chennai captaincy just two days before the start of IPL 2022, produced a quality knock while the other batters faltered.
From Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Devon Conway to Ambati Rayadu, none of the batters could get going during the game, however, Dhoni took control over the innings and played a crucial knock.
Though, he took some time to settle down before smashing seven fours and one six at the iconic Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Dhoni formed a partnership with Jadeja and together they put an unbeaten stand of 70 runs. The pair got 47 off the last three overs.
MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on a half-century, which was also his first half-century in the IPL after 3 years. Fans are expecting a similar performance by the legendary cricketer in today’s match when CSK will lock its horns against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ second match tonight, an MS Dhoni fan on social media has made a hilarious proposal. In her Tweet, the fan (@themsdiangirl7) wrote how she will propose to her crush if Dhoni manages to score more than 44 runs today. She wrote:
