IPL 2022: Neeraj Chopra Sent A ‘Sunhera’ Message To Delhi Capitals

After a stellar start to the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, cricket fans are all set for another exciting game as Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals is taking on the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the ongoing second match of the IPL 2022 at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium today.

Ahead of the exciting game, India’s pride and Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra sent a sunhera message for the Delhi Capitals’ captain Rishabh Pant and his squad as they kickstart their campaign in the IPL 2022.

Delhi Capitals via their official Twitter handle shared a video of Neeraj Chopra, wishing the Delhi Capitals’ squad all the luck. In the clip, Neeraj can be heard saying: “All the best Delhi Capitals and Rishabh bhai (captain Rishabh Pant),” He added: “Work hard, play well and win the IPL trophy.”

For the unversed, Neeraj Chopra made history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and made the whole nation proud of him by becoming the first Indian to win an athletics gold. He had won the men’s javelin throw competition.

In the opening game of IPL 2022, Neeraj Chopra was honored by the BCCI alongwith Bronze-winning boxer Lovlina Borgohain and Manpreet Singh, the captain of the Indian men’s hockey team. Neeraj was awarded a cash prize of INR 1 crore.
