IPL 2022: Table-toppers Gujarat Titans will take on the defending champions Chennai Super Kings on Sunday evening at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
Hardik Pandya’s side has won 4 out of their 5 games with the skipper himself leading from the front with a magnificent all-round show in the last match versus Rajasthan Royals.
CSK, on the other hand, have just opened their account after losing their first four matches. A 23-run victory over RCB will give them the much-needed confidence, however, Ravindra Jadeja and management will want two of their star batters -Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali- to pick up form as early as possible.
Venue: Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune
Of the 5 matches played so far in Pune, three have been won by the side batting first. Dew has had a much lesser impact in Pune than in Mumbai.
Gujarat Titans:
Matthew Wade has struggled painfully this season so far – 68 runs in 5 innings at a strike rate of 107 – however, he stroked three well-timed boundaries in the last game before unfortunately getting run-out. With GT in the winning run, they might give the Aussie another game. And to Vijay Shankar as well, who has made just 19 runs in 3 innings at strike rate of 57!
That’s a decorated leader ?

Chennai Super Kings:
Mukesh Choudhary could make way for Rajvardhan Hangargekar. Another possible change could see Chris Jordan going out for in-form pacer Dwaine Pretorius or for Adam Milne if fit. CSK continue to lack a wicket-taking bowler in the powerplay and since now Deepak Chahar has been confirmed to be ruled out, they would want to get a proper replacement soon.
CSK predicted XI: Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan/Dwaine Pretorius, Maheesh Theekshana, Mukesh Choudhary/Rajvardhan Hangargekar
