Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders will clash on Wednesday evening at the DY Patil Stadium for Match 6 of IPL 2022. Both teams are coming off contrasting results in their first games: KKR registered a comfortable 6 wicket win over CSK while RCB bowlers were hammered by Punjab Kings’ batters who chased down a big target of 206 with an over to spare, at this particular venue.
Venue: DY Patil Stadium
Expect runs and more runs with short straight boundaries and not much help for either the spinners or the seamers. The side boundaries, though, are sizeable, making hitting across the line a challenge for the batters.
RCB predicted XI:

Talking about RCB, they will continue to be without star Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who recently got married, and also pacer Josh Hazlewood; Maxwell and contracted Australian players white-ball players aren’t allowed to play in the IPL until April 5th as the national side plays Pakistan in white-ball matches.
RCB clearly missed the services of both Maxwell, who would have had a match-up against Punjab’s left-handers, and Hazlewood, who has been in terrific T20 form since last year, in their opening match of IPL 2022.
A loss in only one game isn’t likely to force new skipper Faf du Plessis into making any changes. Still, RCB could bring in the experienced Siddarth Kaul for Akash Deep or Shahbaz Ahmed; Mahipal Lomror, who showcased clean striking last season, could also come in for Shahbaz Ahmed with no help available for spinners.
RCB predicted XI For match number 6 of IPL 2022: Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Siddarth Kaul, Mohammed Siraj
KKR will continue to not have the option of Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins, both of whom will be made available on April 6th. With Umesh Yadav performing brilliantly they didn’t miss Cummins, however, their death bowling with Russell and Mavi remains a concern.
Shreyas Iyer started his captaincy tenure for his new franchise with an emphatic win over CSK. Almost everyone made an impact with either bat or ball for the Knight Riders, who are expected to stick with the same eleven. However, Tim Southee, who is available now, could slot in for Mavi as KKR played only three overseas against CSK.
