IPL 2022: Rahul Tripathi Took A One-Handed Screamer And Fans Can’t Keep Calm

Was it a plane? a bird? superman? – no that was FLYING RAHUL TRIPATHI. That was a stunner, an absolute stunner by Rahul Tripathi to dismiss Gujarat Titans star opener Shubman Gill in the ongoing IPL 2022 match at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Only an effort like that could have sent an in-form batter like Shubman Gill back to the pavilion.

Shubman Gill has been in some tremendous form off-lately. Before coming in to bat in the ongoing Gujarat Titans vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match, Shubman Gill had amassed 180 runs off 3 games, with his highest score being 96 runs against Punjab Kings. He was expected to score big today as well, however, his plans were crushed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rahul Tripathi altogether.

The incident took place during the 2nd ball of the 2nd over as Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered it on a length and around off. It was right off the middle as Gill looked to smash it on the up. However, it went to the left of the fielder at covers like a rocked but only to get landed in the hands of Rahul Tripathi.

Rahul took a stunning dive and caught the ball brilliantly. It was a one-handed stunner and a welcome wicket as Gujarat Titans had gotten off to a flying start. Gill was dismissed after scoring 7 runs off 9 balls.

The video of the one-handed stunner by Rahul Tripathi has been going viral on the internet. Here, watch the video:
