Kolkata Knight Riders‘ veteran wicket-keeper batter – Sheldon Jackson continued to amaze one and all with his terrific glovework behind the stumps. He has set some high standards on the field in match number 6 of the ongoing IPL 2022.

Defending a small total of 128 runs on the scoreboard, the Kolkata fielders showed some great athleticism on the field. One man who stole all the limelight was Sheldon Jackson.

Though, he had a disappointing outing with the bat, but Jackson roared back as he showed great athleticism from behind the stumps. He ended his day with three catches and a stumping. However, one catch that he picked during the game, which was possibly the most important of them all, has stolen all the limelight.

Sheldon’s brilliant effort to dismiss Sherfane Rutherford was no less than a moment of magic. Rutherford, who was keeping the RCB innings together in the run-chase, inside-edged a Tim Southee delivery. However, he was caught in a terrific way by Jackson. The ball was dipping in front of him but he dived in to take a great low catch.

Among many, journalist and anchor Rajdeep Sardesai, who is also a cricket enthusiast, took to his Twitter and lauded the performance of Sheldon Jackson. In his Tweet, he stated how the ones who stand and wait are also served. He wrote:

“Sheldon Jackson: remember the name!! They also serve those who stand and wait.. QuickSilver stumping the other night , today a great catch! #IPL2022″
