Recently, in a conversation with ANI, Rohit Sharma spoke at length about his love for football, La Liga and one time when he watched the El Classico, which involved two greatest Spanish football clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“I would say live, I went to El Clasico in 2020, just before COVID struck. We were there in Madrid to watch the Real Madrid and Barcelona game. So that was my best-ever memory of La Liga so far. I want to create more memories with La Liga, but now because we play so many games, and there are so many restrictions right now. I’m not able to travel there and experience it,” Rohit Sharma said.
Rohit Sharma also asked about his favourite footballer and he didn’t hesitate at all in saying Real Madrid legend and one of the greatest footballers ever, Zinedine Zidane’s name.
Zinedine Zidane was an absolute beast on the field during his playing days and he continues to have massive fan following across the globe because of the magic he created with his feet on the field.
Rohit Sharma is presently leading the Mumbai Indians side in IPL 2022 and trying to bring the team together after a slow start in the tournament.
