IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma Trolled All Other Franchise In His True ‘Bambaiya’ Style

Rohit Sharma Trolled All Other Franchises: The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League kickstarted with a bang with a thriller contest between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in the season opener at the Wankhede Stadium. The event was made more special by the fans, who made their presence felt at the stadium.

IPL 2022 is a special season for more than one reason. The 2022 edition has seen the cash-rich league expand to a 10-team event. Not just this, it is also the first time since 2019 that IPL matches are being held in India and are being played in front of the crowds.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of IPL took place completely in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the other hand, IPL 2021 took place in two parts with the first half being hosted by India before the tournament went back to the UAE for the second part of the season.

However, IPL is back in India and so are the fans in the stadium. Now in this situation, in order to ensure that all the teams are safe from COVID-19, all the league games of the tournament are taking place in four venues across Maharashtra. This has been done to ensure that the teams stay in one hotel throughout the tournament and that they don’t have to travel by air.

Though, this was done for the safety and protection of the teams, but the same has led to accusations that five-time champions Mumbai Indians’ (MI) have an unfair advantage of the home ground.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians‘ captain Rohit Sharma has given a hilarious response to the accusations, which is now going viral on the internet. Ahead of the ongoing Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals game, speaking at the pre-match press conference, Rohit Sharma said:

“Many franchises objected that how can Mumbai play in Mumbai. They should try to build 3-4 Stadiums in their cities then,”
