Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings’ superstar player Suresh Raina answered some difficult questions in a rapid-fire round ahead of his commentary debut last night.

Ahead of the first match of the Indian Premier League, which was between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, Raina talked about picking MS Dhoni’s batting over his skills as the keeper of the cricket team.

Well, just a couple of days after MS Dhoni announced his decision to step down from the captaincy position of CSK and handed over the duties to star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, his former deputy in-charge Suresh Raina was asked if he preferred MS Dhoni ‘the batter’ or MS Dhoni ‘the keeper’ on Star Sports.

Answering the difficult question, the southpaw middle-order batsman said that he would pick MS Dhoni ‘the batter’ if he had to pick one as he had won so many matches for whichever team he has represented.

Suresh Raina was also asked  ‘which is the more nervous debut – commentary debut or league cricket debut?’ Responding to this, Raina picked ‘commentary debut’ as the more nervous one.

He was also asked to pick one option among the two – batting at number three or fielding at point”. Answering this, Raina said that he would like to bat at number three. The video of the same was shared by the official Twitter handle of Star Sports.

Meanwhile, looking at Raina’s genuine admiration towards MS Dhoni, fans on social media were left in awe of the bond Raina and Dhoni shared.
