IPL 2023: 6 CSK Players Who Disappeared After Playing Just One Season

IPL 2023: The Indian Premier League has been quite successful for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They rank second among IPL franchises in terms of the number of championships they have won. 

The IPL seasons from 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021 were won by them. Since the beginning of the competition, MS Dhoni has served as the face of the CSK team. His captaincy over many players throughout the IPL.Some players stayed at CSK for a long time, whereas others left after just one season. Here is a list of six of them.

Top Six Player Played one season 

Suraj Randiv  

Suraj Randiv, a Sri Lankan off-spin bowler, participated in eight IPL games for the Chennai Super Kings. In those matches, he scored two runs while also claiming six wickets. He eventually achieved success with Chennai. 

C Ganapathy 

One of the rare players who only appeared in one game for the Chennai Super Kings was C Ganapathy. He made his IPL debut in 2010, bowling one over and allowing 13 runs. 

Justin Kemp 

In the 2010 IPL, former South African all-rounder Justin Kemp played for the Chennai franchise. He participated in five games, recording 24 runs and three wickets. His debut was against Deccan Charges and played his last game with Punjab Kings. 

Andrew Flintoff 

Andrew Flintoff, a former all-rounder for England, participated in three IPL 2009 games for the Chennai Super Kings. In that season, he captured a few wickets and scored 62 runs. He was one of the highest-paid players in IPL history.  

Makhaya Ntini 

In the first IPL season, former South African quick Makhaya Ntini played for the Chennai Super Kings. In nine games, he got seven wickets for the side. Hence, he played only 10 matches and scored 11 runs. 

Chamara Kapugedera

In his five games for Chennai in 2008, former Sri Lankan all-rounder Chamara Kapugedera scored 16 runs. It turned out to be the only time that Chamara participated in an IPL game. In IPL he only played 5 matches, His debut was against Delhi Capitals, and played his last game against Rajasthan Royals.
