Another day, another blistering knock by the young and talented Shubman Gill. After a stellar show by Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman carried on the momentum and helped Gujarat Titans to post a total of 227 runs in the first innings against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 7.

Gill And Saha Played Incredible Knocks

After being asked to bat first, Gujarat Titans’ opening duo brought up absolute carnage. During the powerplay, Saha gave a blockbuster start to the innings as he did most of the scoring to get the big runs, whereas Gill played the role of an anchor and kept rotating the strike.

GT got 78 runs in the powerplay while the rival bowling unit could hardly control the carnage by GT batters. Soon, Gill switched gears and smashed a few maximums, and took control of the innings along with Saha.

The duo added 100 runs for the first wicket off just 50 balls. But soon, Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed after an impressive inning of 81 off 43 balls, however, Gill continued to remain in complete command. Shubman Gill played a stunning knock of 94 runs off 51 balls while smashing 7 sixes and 2 fours.
