IPL 2023 Auction: 7 Players Included In Marquee All-Rounders Set. No Indians In The List

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released an exhaustive list of all the 405 players shortlisted for the upcoming mini-auctions of the IPL 2023. Out of the  405, 273 are Indian players while 132 players are overseas and four players are from associate nations. It has to be noted that all the teams have already retained their core squads. Only 87 spots are up for grabs, out of which 30 are overseas. 

The BCCI has released the order and the sets in which the names of the players will be presented and the biggest ones will be the all-rounders. BCCI has picked seven players in the marquee all-rounders set are set to find multiple takers, despite no Indian being on the list.

The England duo of Ben Stokes and Sam Curran are going to be in huge demand. While Sam Curran emerged as the player of the tournament in the T20 World Cup 2022 and was one of the big reasons behind England’s win. On the other hand, Ben Stokes might not be the best T20 player going around, but he has solid experience and the ability to thrive in crunch situations makes him one of the top picks.

Apart from this, Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza (INR 50 Lakh) was one of the stories of the T20 World Cup. He is a terrific middle-order batter and a brilliant spin bowler. Next on the list will be veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (INR 1.5 crore), who missed the IPL this season and will also be in a lot of demand having registered this time.

Jason Holder (INR 2 crore) turned out to be the biggest surprise in IPL 2022, playing for Lucknow Super Giants. Besides batting and bowling, Holder also offers leadership skills. West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith (INR 50 Lakh) is struggling to score runs, but when in form he is someone who hits the long ball and can bowl at pace of 140 km/hr-plus.

The last and the least will be the newest all-round sensation Cameron Green (INR 2 crore), who has taken the T20 circuit by storm by smashing two quickfire fifties against India while opening the batting and his bowling abilities.
