IPL 2023 Auction: Time, Date, And Venue

The much-awaited IPL 2023 mini-auction is just around the corner and the preparation for it is in full-swing. The event is all set to take place on December 23 in Kochi and the excitement for the same has been increasing with every passing day among the fans. A total of 405 players will go under the hammer in the mini-auction after an additional 36 names were added on request of the 10 franchise owners.

Out of the  405, 273 are Indian players while 132 players are overseas and four players are from associate nations. It has to be noted that all the teams have already retained their core squads. Only 87 spots are up for grabs, out of which 30 are overseas. While 19 players are in the INR 2 crore bracket, 11 players are on the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. 20 cricketers have set their base price of INR 1 crore.

When And Where Will IPL 2023 Mini-Auction Take Place?

The IPL 2023 mini-auction is scheduled for December 23. Kochi is set to host the mega event, which will start at 2:30 PM IST.

The digital rights of the IPL 2023 are owned by Viacom 18 in India and the Indian subcontinent. The auction will be live-streamed on the Jio Cinema App and website.

Each franchise can keep a maximum of 15 players on their roster. They are permitted to release a maximum of ten of their squad’s 25 players.
