IPL 2023 Mini-Auction: List of Players With INR 1 Crore Base Price

With the IPL 2023 mini-auction just around the corner, as many as 991 players have registered in the initial list. Yes, a total of 991 players — 714 Indian and 277 overseas players — are part of the initial list which was shared with the 10 franchises by the IPL on Thursday. This includes 185 capped, 786 uncapped, and 20 players from Associate Nations. The IPL will cut this list down based on the inputs from the franchises, who have time until December 9 to get back to the tournament authorities.

According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, a total of 21 players have listed themselves at the maximum base price of ₹2 crores. This bracket includes some popular names including Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Cameron Green, Kane Williamson, and Nicholas Pooran. Notably, there is no Indian player in this bracket.

Meanwhile, India’s most-talked-about player ahead of the mini-auction — Mayank Agarwal has set been listed in the INR 1 Crore bracket. Mayank Agarwal, who led the Punjab Kings in the previous season, was released by the franchise. He is expected to go for the big money in the auctions. Apart from him, Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey are two other Indian players who have been listed in the INR 1 Crore bracket. 

England’s stat batter Joe Root has been listed in the 1 crore bracket and it will be interesting to see if he can get any buyer in the auction as he has been out of England’s T20I scene now.
