IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony: Two Big Bollywood Divas Will Add Hotness To The Event: This season, the BCCI plans to host the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening ceremony for the first time in four years.
The opening match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will feature the defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT) versus MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on March 31. For the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considering planning an opening ceremony for the T20 league.
Following the epidemic, the IPL 2023 will resume its “home-and-away” format this season with the 10 teams split into two groups for the 70 league matches. Rashmika Mandanna and Tamannaah Bhatia, two actresses, will sing at the Indian Premier League 2023 opening ceremony and up the glam aspect of the event, according to a report on the Insidesport website.

The opening ceremony is anticipated to start at 7:30 IST on March 31 before the first game, and the contest is anticipated to start about 30 minutes later, same like the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 season launch last month.
“Certainly, the 31st will feature an opening ceremony. It will be brief, but because the home and away format is back, we thought it was important to thank the home crowd with a ceremony, a top Board of Control for Cricket in India official told the website InsideSport.
Bollywood actresses Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, and Punjabi music phenomenon AP Dhillon performed at the first-ever WPL‘s glitzy opening ceremony. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is expecting that a number of Bollywood A-list celebrities will be present at the Indian League 2023 opening ceremony.
In the wake of the Pulwama attack, Board of Control for Cricket in India decided not to hold an opening ceremony before the Indian Premier League 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the course of 52 days, a total of 70 league-stage games will be contested at 12 different locations.
In the league stage, each team will play 7 home games and 7 away games. The four other teams in the same group will be faced twice by each team. They will also compete once each against the other five teams.
