Kolkata Knight Riders‘ ‘ star batter Rinku Singh became an overnight sensation after his batting heroics against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium last night. Rinku produced one of the most incredible finishes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history as he smashed five sixes in as many balls when 28 runs were needed for the Men in Purple to win against the Gujarat Titans.
When Rinku came on strike, KKR needed 28 runs off 5 balls to win, which looked impossible. Rinku had already hit a six and a four to end the penultimate over of the innings and there was no stopping him. He unleashed a beast in him as he brought absolute carnage by smashing 5 back-to-back sixes to seal the game with a win.
Rinku finished unbeaten on 48 off 21 deliveries, with 40 of those runs coming off the last seven balls he played.

After Rinku produced a crazy knock to seal a crazy crazy win for Kolkata Knight Riders fans on social media went berserk. Even Bollywood stars and celebrities are mindblown over this feat.

Later, after the match, Rinku talked about his performance. When asked about how he managed to do that, he replied: “I just kept hitting.”
He added: “To be honest I was not thinking much. Just reacting to every ball. I never thought I would hit five sixes. I just kept hitting. I had the belief. And we won the match.”
“I had the inner belief that I can do it because I had also played [a similar] innings last year against Lucknow [Super Giants]. There also I had such a belief and today, too, I showed that belief. Rana bhai told me: “belief rakhiyo, aakhri tak kheliyo (keep the belief, stay till the end),”
