While Rinku played a stunning knock of 46 runs off 33 balls, smashing 2 fours and 3 sixes, on the other hand,  Shardul Thakur lit up the Eden Gardens in Kolkata with his power-hitting as produced his greatest contribution to the bat. He played a counter-attacking knock of 68 runs off 29 balls, smashing 9 fours and 3 sixes.

Meanwhile, after the game KKR captain, Nitish Rana also heaped praise on Rinku, saying his innings were as important as Shardul’s innings. He said:

Rinku’s innings was as important as Shardul’s innings. We all know his ability,”

He added: “He can hit sixes at will. I told him that you can hit sixes anytime, but if you can hold one end up till the 19th or 20th over, then do it. He did it.”
