Ahead of the IPL 2024 season, five-time champions, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, have made a bumper signing, not of a player, but in their marketing campaign by roping in Bollywood mega-actress Katrina Kaif.
This has been possible through their sponsorship deal with Etihad Airways, which has Katrina Kaif as their brand ambassador.
According to a recent report in ABP news, CSK have made two significant changes off the field. The defending champions have reportedly finalized Katrina Kaif as their brand ambassador, and they also will have a new logo on their jersey.

Famous for her roles in movies such as Tiger Zinda Hai, Bang Bang, Singh Is Kinng, and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Katrina Kaif is associated with Etihad Airways. Recently, CSK, too, have signed a fresh sponsorship deal with Etihad Airways, which is the national airline of UAE.

The logo of Etihad Airways will be donned on CSK’s jersey in IPL 2024. CSK launched their new jersey a few days ago.

Meanwhile, in the IPL 2024 auction, CSK bought Rachin Ravindra (INR 1.8 crore), Sameer Rizvi (INR 8.4 crore), Shardul Thakur (INR 4 crore), Daryl Mitchell (INR 14 crore), and Mustafizur Rahman (INR 2 crore).
Shardul Thakur, who was with CSK in their title wins in 2018 and 2021, will again play under MS Dhoni, while this year will be the debut IPL season for New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra.
Captain MS Dhoni, after recovering from knee surgery, has started practicing lightly in the nets. The IPL 2024 is very likely to be the last season for the 42-year-old Dhoni.
