IPL: Andre Russell confuses Shane Watson with his ‘run-pause-bowl’ delivery

At a time when batsmen are revolutionizing the game of cricket by inventing switch-hits, ramp shots and reverse-scoops, West Indies and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell invented a new delivery in the 2014 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the match against Rajasthan Royals, Andre Russell stopped in-between his run-up and confused Shane Watson who thought Russell is pulling-out from the delivery.

The most hilarious part of this delivery is Harsha Bhogle’s commentary after seeing Shane Waston’s reaction. Harsha can’t stop his laughter as Watson looks absolutely clueless in the middle.

Interestingly, Andre Russell hasn’t used this action again, but we hope he will unleash his run-pause-bowl delivery in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
