The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2017) is less than two months to go and the buildup to it will start from 20th February when all the franchises will get together to strengthen their squad on the auction day.

IPL auction 2017 will take place in Bangalore on 20th February i.e. tomorrow and once again players from around the world be auctioned for the most extravagant domestic T20 cricket tournament in the world. We, at The Cricket Lounge, will be bringing all the updates from IPL 2017 auction and bring you the most entertaining coverage.

The Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS franchise have released as many as 11 players ahead of the auction, the most by any team. They go into the auction with a purse of INR 17.5 crore and  they will go after players they want very aggressively in the auction.

There are many big players available for auction this year but our scouts report that RPS’s captain MS Dhoni have told the owners to buy England’s T20 specialist Tymal Mills. In the recently concluded T20I series between India and England, which India won 2-1, Tymal Mills impressed one and all with his bowling. Mills biggest strength is to change the pace of the ball from 90 miles per hour to 70 miles per hour with very little change in his action. He  did go for some runs in the second and third T20I but the way he bowled to MS Dhoni in death overs was very impressive to watch. Dhoni, who is one of the best finishers in world cricket, found it difficult to put Mills away in the last few overs of the innings.

On batting friendly pitches in India, teams will need quality bowlers, specially in the death overs, to stop the flow of runs and for that, England’s Tymal Mills is one of the best bets in the list of players available for auction this year.
