IPL Auction 2017: Rising Pune Supergiants buy Ben Stokes for INR 14.5 crore

Eoin Morgan (Kings XI Punjab)

England’s limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan was the first player to get auctioned in the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. Morgan, who batted brilliantly in the recently concluded series between India and England, was sold sold for INR 2 crore and he was bought by Kings XI Punjab.

Pawan Negi (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

India’s young all-rounder Pawan Negi, who was one of the stars of last season’s IPL auction, was sold for INR 1 crore. Negi was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and he was the second auctioned player in IPL auction 2017.

Angelo Mathews (Delhi Daredevils)

Sri Lanka’s captain Angelo Mathews was the third player to get auctioned in the IPL auction 2017. Mathews was sold for INR 2 crore and he was bought by Delhi Daredevils.

Ben Stokes ( Rising Pune Supergiants)

England’s all-rounder was the star attraction of IPL auction 2017. As soon as his name was announced by the auctioneer, the franchises started bidding aggressively and his bid lasted for around 10 minutes and it became the costliest bid in the iPL auction history. Stokes was bought by Rising Pune Supergiants for INR 14.5 crore
