IPL Auctions : Shikhar Dhawan Goes For A Handsome Price

The much anticipated IPL auctions have started with a bang. The Sunrisers Hyderabad have bought Shikhar Dhawan, the stunning Indian opener for 5.2 crores. The Sunrisers Hyderabad retained David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the retentions and now in the auctions they have got their dynamic opener Shikhar Dhawan Back.

Dhawan has been in a sensational form across formats in 2017 and he was indeed supposed to be a hotshot in the auctions. Dhawan would be happy with 5.2 crores and he’d more than happy to return to the Sunrisers squad.

Shikhar Dhawan has scored 3561 runs in the Indian Premier League at a handsome strike rate of 121. He has a highest score of 95 to his credit and now the Sunrisers Hyderabad have again got their explosive opening combination of David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan back.

This team already looks solid with David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Shikhar Dhawan’s form this year has been under scrutiny for not performing in the South African Test series. Given this scenario he would surely be happy to return to the Sunrisers Hyderabad and at such a hefty price.
