Chris Gayle Has Sent A Special Message To Franchise Owners: The fever of the Indian Premier League is on as a new chapter of the league has already kickstarted, with two new franchises making the ongoing edition a 10-team affair. While it’s a new beginning for several young talents around the world in the IPL, on the other hand, a few IPL legends are not a part of this season for different reasons.

Among them, West Indies’ cricketing superstar Chris Gayle is not playing in the ongoing season as he had opted out of this year’s edition. ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle is hailed as one of the most destructive as well as entertaining batters to have ever played the game of cricket.

Apart from giving numerous batting performances for West Indies’ national cricket team, Chris Gayle has also given tremendous performances while playing for different franchises in T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League.

In fact, Gayle has some extraordinary records under his name in the league. He has smashed a record 357 sixes in 141 IPL innings, which is by far the most by a batter in the league. He also has the record of hitting the most sixes in a single IPL inning, which came after he smashed 17 sixes en route to a 175 not out for the RCB against the now-defunct Pune Warriors in 2013.
