IPL 2020 is all set to kick off from this Saturday as the entire world gears up to witness a unique season of the world’s grandest T20 league. There will be no fans in the stadium this year, but the viewership is expected to be the highest for IPL 2020. Mumbai Indians will battle Chennai Super Kings in a rematch of IPL 2019 to begin the season.
Over the years, the Indian bowlers have dominated the batsmen in the IPL. The same trend is expected to continue in the 13th season of IPL and here are the five Indian bowlers to keep an eye on during the competition.
Jasprit Bumrah – Mumbai Indians
One of the top candidates to win the Purple Cap award this year, Jasprit Bumrah will hold the key to success for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. Bumrah will not have the backing of Lasith Malinga in IPL this year, but he will partner with Trent Boult and Nathan Coulter-Nile to destroy the opposition teams.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti – Kolkata Knight Riders
After staying out for two years, Kamlesh Nagarkoti will make his IPL debut for KKR this year. He had played a massive role in India’s success during the 2018 U-19 World Cup, along with Shivam Mavi.
Navdeep Saini – Royal Challengers Bangalore
Navdeep Saini can prove to be Virat Kohli’s trump card in IPL 2020. Bangalore have struggled to keep a check on the run flow in the slog overs, but Saini could solve that problem this year.
Shreyas Gopal – Rajasthan Royals
Shreyas Gopal will be the topspin bowler for Rajasthan Royals this year. The inaugural IPL winners will rest their hopes on Gopal to trouble the batsmen in the UAE.
Ravi Bishnoi – Kings XI Punjab
Another spinner to look out for in IPL 2020 will be KXIP’s Ravi Bishnoi. After training under Anil Kumble, Bishnoi would be keen to leave his mark in his debut IPL season.
