Sanju Samson stunned everyone with a blitzkrieg that can so far be called as the knock of the tournament with some brutal hits all around the park that took out the best of the Chennai bowlers.
He started his onslaught with a brilliant boundary off Sam Curran using the gap between the slip to wring out his first boundary. The following delivery was hurled into the stands over deep mid-wicket by Samson, freeing his arms. Once he sniffed blood, there was no stopping him.
He followed it with an exquisite straight six over Deepak Chahar’s head, labeling it as a stroke of the night.
Samson getting warmed up to the blood hunt, took Jadeja out for a couple more sixes with brutal power.
The next victim in line was Piyush Chawla as he smacked the veteran spinner for a couple of sixes too.
He showed no signs of relent against anyone as he carved exquisite strokes all over the park, wrecking the Chennai bowling line up in the grandest fashion.
Chawla and Jadeja were hurt the most as the duo was at the receiving end of Samson’s wrath. The brilliance of the innings sparked the question again that should it be Rishabh Pant doing the honors for India as a keeper or will it be Samson?
