The IPL 2020 auctions have kickstarted in Kolkata, with several cricketers from around the world are about to grab big paycheques this year. As the auctions began, the capped batsmen and all-rounders were the first ones to go under the hammer.
The Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was the first one to become the million-dollar baby in the ongoing IPL 2020 auctions. He was the one who sparked
The 31-year-old had kept his base price of Rs 2 crore, however, as soon as his name was announced, an immense bidding war began between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals. While KXIP had Rs 42.9 crore in their purse, on the other hand, Delhi Capitals had Rs 26 crore. As the bidding continued, Glenn Maxwell went past the Rs 10 crore mark.
Well, the KXIP were way to desperate to pull Maxwell in their team but as Capitals were also going after Glenn Maxwell fiercely, the KXIP kept bidding for him and finally KXIP bought him for Rs 10.75 crore after Delhi Capitals opted out of the bidding war.
Talking about his previous season in IPL, Glenn Maxwell had pulled himself out of the IPL 2019 edition and had a very bad 2018 season with Delhi Daredevils.
As soon as he was bought at a whopping price of Rs 10.75 crore, Twitterati were thrilled with the news and Twitter was already flooded with reactions on his bid. The Indian fans gave the best reactions to this.

Glenn Maxwell has become the first millionaire of the #IPL2020Auction
The fact that Kings XI are going hard for him shows that whatever problems there were supposed to be must have been with Sehwag. He's gone, and KXIP want him back.
