IPL 2017: Rishabh Pant is one of the most exciting young batsmen to watch in world cricket. In the ongoing IPL 2017, he has played a couple of spectacular match-winning innings and impressed one and all with his extraordinary display of hitting.

The lad from Delhi got out in one of the most unfortunate manners in the match against The Gujarat Lions on Wednesday. Delhi were chasing a big total of 195 runs and all eyes were on Pant when he walked out to bat after the wicket of Sanju Samson. He started his innings with a boundary but was caught napping by Suresh Raina on the second ball.

Pant was caught up in a leg before wicket (LBW) confusion off the fifth delivery in the second over, and in a moment of brain-fade, he forgot to plank his bat inside the crease even as Raina, fielding at slip, hit the wickets with a direct throw. Watch it here:

Pant was one of the best performers in the Ranji Trophy season 2016/17. He scored runs consistently for Delhi and earned a call up for the T20I series against England, earlier this year.
