IPL7 : Bhuvneshwar Kumar is an Improved Death Bowler

Bhuvneshwar  Kumar announced himself at the International stage against Pakistan , leading the way of a Pakistan batting collapse, but sadly on a losing cause. Though a Pak batting batting collapse is very normal in International cricket, but this time it was not the batsman but a master class from Bhuvi which led to a collapse.

Bhuvi is always  a genuine talent when it comes to swinging the ball both ways with the new ball . His first wicket in the ODIs  to dismiss  Md. Hafeez  was an  inswinger  that deserved to disturb the timbers of every top class batsman.  He followed  his good work with the new ball  and  carried it on till the Champions Trophy, where he was the unsun hero for the Indians. Getting wickets with the new ball was a common sight for him. But , there was always a tag of new ball bowler associated with him.  Dhoni was happy  to use 7 to 8 overs of his quota  in the initial stage, where he could make the new ball do the talking.

But for a brief period of time, he lost his charm  and  went wicketless   with the new ball. The rise of Shami added to his problem and he no longer was a regular member of the playing 11.

But this IPL has brought a new Bhuvneshwar Kumar.  He is not just effective with the new ball , but has a plan for a batsman in the death overs. He was the one who escaped the hammering at the hands of Devilliers , when the latter was going all guns blazing.  Against Rajasthan Royals, he was the one who turned the tables in favour  of Sunrisers  . But the best part was the way he bowled at the end .  This just adds a new variety to his team.

A part of  it even goes to Dale Steyn  and even Bhuvneshwar Kumar admits it . Working  with him has helped him  and the result has reflected this fact.
