IPL7: The Winners, So Far

IPl has been a stage for youngsters to showcase their talents. Here is a look at the Indians who have made some serious impact in this IPL.

1: Sandeep Sharma: He has been an unsung hero for the Kings 11 Punjab, with Maxwell and Miller taking the central stage. After a successful Under19 World Cup, he has had some decent domestic seasons going unnoticed. But 3 Man of the Match awards in this IPL speaks volumes of his impact. It will be note worthy , whether he gets a chance in the Indian side . But lack of pace might hurt him in the long run.

2: Yuzvendra Chahal:  Another Mumbai discard , who has been sensational in this IPL. Having been a  drinks boy for his Ranji team, thanks to the experienced  Amit Mishra , he has led the bowling of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He ha picked up 12 wickets in 11 matches , and notably at an economy of 6.5 . But, with so many contenders in the spin department, an Indian berth looks far distant.

3: Robin Uthappa: He might not be a youngster , but this IPL has brought a new Uthappa. He is a lot mature and is looking to build an inninngs, rather than just playing a cameo. He has been instrumental along with Gambhir in transforming KKR into a different side altogether. He might have clicked at the right time, with Dhawan struggling and now have a decent chance of a comeback to the Indian side.

4:Gautam Gambhir: After a horrible start to his IPL7 campaign, he has come into his own now. After 3 ducks, he has notched up 3 back to back fifties . With England tour coming up, he might be the right man , considering the volumes of experience he has.

5: Bhuvneshwar Kumar : He has been a sensation in this IPL, bowling with higher pace than  he has normally bowled in his career. His bowling in the death overs has now strengthened his claim for a permanent place in the ODI side, after he was in and out for Mohit Sharma.

6. Mohit Sharma: Surprisingly, Mohit is the spearhead of Chennai Super Kings’ bowling. He has one of the highest wicket-takers in the season, so far. He is looking like an improved bowler and has worked on his pace and variations.
