India’s batting maestro and Mumbai Indians’ mentor on Tuesday was the center of attraction as he spent time with the Mumbai Indians boys ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) opener against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Garden on Wednesday. Sachin has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians right from the first season in which he captained the men in blue. Now, Sachin has been given the responsibility of mentoring the side and share his valuable experience with the boys.

Besides having a long chat with Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma, Tendulkar was also seen conversing with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli. Both Kohli and Rohit are rated very highly by Sachin Tendulkar and he is always keen on sharing his experience with these two. Sachin has even said that these two batsmen have the potential of breaking some of his batting records in the years to come.

Under the observing eyes of Australian coach Ricky Ponting, Mumbai players Lasith Malinga and Aaron Finch slogged hard at the nets as Tendulkar and Rohit were busy chatting.

“He was sharing his thoughts about the strategy for tomorrow’s game,” Rohit later said about his conservation with Tendulkar. Sachin has been an integral part of the team ever since he started playing for MI and whenever we need him he is always there for us.”
