Irfan Pathan Did Bhangra After Yusuf Pathan Smashed A Huge Six: The India Maharajas team has been eliminated from the inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC), failing to reach the final of the three-team tournament in Oman after the league stage.

The India Maharajas won their first match but lost the next three. The final between table-topper World Giants and second-placed Asia Lions will be played on Saturday.

While the journey in the tournament of the team comprising some great Indian players has ended, they made sure that they fought till the end. They lost their last league game by just 5 runs while chasing a massive target of 228.

The Pathan brothers, Yusuf and Irfan, rolled back the year and sent the fans on a nostalgic ride in the last game with some powerful striking. Yusuf smashed 45 runs off 22 balls and Irfan whacked 56 runs off 21 balls, registering the fastest fifty of the tournament in just 18 balls.

An incident involving the brothers made the fans have a good laugh. During the 12th over of the Maharajas’ innings, Yusuf tonked fast bowler Brett Lee for a maximum – a length ball was duly dispatched for a six by the elder Pathan brother over mid-wicket. The maximum was measured to be 95 metres.

Seeing this, the younger Pathan brother, Irfan, was elated and celebrated in Bhangra style, lifting up his shoulders and raising his hands while enjoying the huge six. The video of this has gone viral on social media and fans are loving every bit of Pathan’s dance.

The game went down the wire with India Maharajas needing 8 runs off the last over. However, Brett Lee, the bowler, and the World Giants prevailed in the last over as the Australian conceded just 3 runs, dismissing Irfan on the first ball of the over.

India’s Naman Ojha is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament, having amassed 259 runs at an average of 64 in 4 matches, with the help of scores of 140 and 95. Morne Morkel, bowling for World Giants, is the leading wicket-taker with 7 scalps in 4 games.
