Irfan Pathan Trolled Pakistani Fans: One of the biggest sports tournaments in the world kickstarted yesterday with the opening match being played between England and New Zealand. The inaugural match took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Though, the excitement about the match was at its peak, but surprisingly, the turnover at the stadium was incredibly low. Social media, especially Twitter, was buzzing the whole day with pictures of the almost empty stadium. Several people also expressed their displeasure stating that despite the stadium being half-empty the online ticket booking platforms were showing ‘sold out’ prompts for the tickets.

The majority of the Tweets were from Pakistani media people and fans, who kept trolling the BCCI and its authorities for disappointing fans around the world with an empty stadium.

However, the stadium was filled with over 50,000 fans during the second half of the game. After people turned up for the game in the second half of the game, Indian fans started giving it back to the Pakistani trolls. Many highlighted that the stadium looked empty because of the huge size of the stadium, which can make the stadium look empty even after a good turnout.

Among many, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan also took to his social media and posted a hard-hitting Tweet, slamming the Pakistani fans for trying to defame BCCI. He trolled the Pakistani fans with his epic tweet as he asked the Indian fans to ignore the ‘nonsense tweets’ of the neighbors. He wrote:

“They feel left out that’s why they keep tweeting nonsense. Don’t react guys. Reach ke chakkar mein Ye apne tweet ko retweet karne wali janta hai. World Cup is in India. In one of the best stadium in the world. Enjoy the moment. Let them cry.”
