Under the leadership of legendary captain MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings are once again eyeing a title win in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. One of the most consistent teams in the ongoing season, CSK is only a couple of wins away from cementing their progression to the playoffs.
MS Dhoni Is Eyeing Another IPL Win
Sitting in the second position in the IPL 2023 points table, CSK is only one point behind table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023 standings.
One of the reasons behind CSK’s successful runs in the ongoing season is of course the brilliant captaincy of the mastermind Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Hailed as one of the finest finishers in the business, Dhoni turned back the clock when he gave glimpses of his glorious past during his nine-ball 20-run innings during the game against Delhi Capitals.
Dhoni, who walked out to bat when CSK was struggling at 126/6, didn’t disappoint his fans. He smashed two big sixes and a boundary in the 19th over bowled by Khaleel Ahmed. While he showcased some beautiful shots, he refrained from converting the singles into twos, given that he is nursing a knee injury.
Irfan Pathan Wrote Beautiful Tweets For Dhoni
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan took to his Twitter and expressed how it was “heartbreaking” to see MS Dhoni limp while running between the wickets. He said:

Later, after the match, Irfan Pathan met his former Indian captain MS Dhoni and expressed his admiration and love for the legend. He revealed how both of them recalled their good old days. He wrote:
